Oops ... Turns Out Iraq Was Trying To Buy Uranium After All

Where are the cries of "Joe Wilson LIED" among NY Times editors? You can hear crickets chirping as anti-war journalists seek to dismiss the gathering evidence that Hussein was indeed buying weapons grade nuclear material.

But it won't go away.

As Wilson's lies unfold, one has to wonder about the political expediency involved. Wilson claimed his wife had nothing to do with the recommendation that he be sent to Niger. Yet it was Valerie Plume's boss who sent him. Odd that he would never ask his subordinate about her husband's qualifications.

Now, plenty on the left insist it was treason that Valerie Plume was outed for being the most non-undercover agent of all time. Funny that neither the Rosenbergs or Alger Hiss can be treasonous but someone in Bush's administration can ... for alleging that there was funny business in Joe Wilson's claims and that it was related to his wife. Which turned out to be ... ummm ... true.
