Saudis Change Tune On UN Sovereignty

They kept insisting the US shouldn't take unilateral action and said they wouldn't support anything unless the UN agreed to it. Now, it looks like the UN will agree to a new resolution so the Saud's are saying that the UN doesn't really matter at all.

"We will cooperate with the Security Council, but as to entering the conflict or using the facilities as part of the conflict, that is something else," Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal said.

Pressed about whether Saudi bases could be used, he gave a definite "no."

Apparently they only intend to listen to the UN when the UN agrees with what they say ... the same attitude they criticize in the US.
