And The PA Responds ...



No. The Palestinian cabinet's announcement expressed "respect for the High Court of Justice's decision" but said its ruling to release Saadat "cannot be implemented under these circumstances because of Israeli threats."

Since the IDF siege of Arafat was relieved only after he agreed to imprison the six men the Israelis want, suspected in the October 17 assassination of tourism minister Rehavam Ze'evi, it would seem a wise move.
